Keisha Nicholson

Hi, I’m Keisha Nicholson, a cosmetologist, mentor, speaker, and founder of Love Forward Foundation, a charity that supports children and young adults of the incarcerated. I’m passionate about helping people look and feel their best, and empowering them to overcome challenges and achieve their goals. I have 20 years of experience in the beauty industry, as a licensed cosmetologist and instructor. I graduated from the Staunton School of Cosmetology in 2003 and have been teaching and practicing ever since. I love sharing my knowledge and skills with others. I also have a personal and professional interest in the impact of incarceration on families. I started Love Forward in 2015 as a grassroots movement to help them heal and grow. Today, Love Forward Foundation is a 501©(3) public charity verified by the Virginia State Corporation Commission and the IRS. Our EIN is 81-5320312. In addition, I’m a mentor at All God’s Children Camps, a nonprofit that provides camps and mentoring for children of incarcerated parents. I have been a mentor for three years and my family and I have been involved for over 10 years. I’ve also been a guest speaker for Prison Fellowship, a ministry that serves prisoners and their families. I have been featured in several media interviews where I talk about the impact of incarceration on children and families. My most recent speaking session was in October 2023 in Austin, Texas. I invite you to connect with me and learn more about my work and passions. You can also sign up for Love Forward Foundation’s newsletter, follow our social media page, or join our movement. Thank you for your interest and support.
